Formed in 1807, St. Bernard Parish contains a large community of Spanish decent, sometimes referred to as Spanish Cajuns. The Parish is home to the Chalmette Battlefield where the Battle of New Orleans took place during the War of 1812. St. Bernard Parish has added the i3 Software & Services Mass Pay System to assist them with centralizing payments from tax servicers and mortgage companies.
